Ipod Touch Wireless Troubleshooting Mistakes

So far I received over 450 emails to help people troubleshooting Ipod Touch Wifi. And most common mistake was the WEP key mismatch. Itouch users instead of placing 26 character (128bit) long key they put windows-mac user password, email passwords, and passphrase.

Another most common mistake was connecting to some WiFi Router that isn't theirs. On many occasions I asked "Is the router you are connecting to, yours or your neighbours?"

Always check broadcast SSID (in router configuration page) before connecting to wifi via Itouch.

I totally understand that some or most people do not know much about WEP keys and I don't blame them! I blame Apple for putting so little information on how to use Ipod Touch or connect via WiFi.

Again if you need any help with your Ipod Touch , don't hassitate to email me

ilovetoargue at gmail dot com (by the way i do not love to argue)

the ipod touch is made for simple use and everyday usage. I fiqured this wifi stuff out by jus exploring and knowing my ipod. Not everybody knows electronics but this new ipod generation is supposed to be easier and faster.
If u have problems jus practice finding all the settings and stuff like that.

I have Linksys router. I tried WEP and WPA2 etc. They did not work. I made it work by setting the WPA on the router side and IPod Touch Settings.

I have a problem with the Wifi: i connect to my home wireless with the RIGHT password (we checked via laptop)but when i went to safari, it said "safari cannot load this page because it is not connected to the internet, when it is obviously connected to our network and the laptop and desktop work just fine and are connecting to the internet as fast as ever. This only happens in my home wireless and Powell's Books wireless, but it seems (or seemed)to work fine in Goodwill and the library. HEEEEEEEEEELp?
