I know many of you are lurking around to see if there are any hacks for ipod to download messengers like yahoo, aim, msn messenger etc. Well sorry there is none (yet) but here is what I do!
Go to www.meebo.com with your safari browser. Click on the service you like AIM,YaHoo,MSN and others.
Login and that's it.
It works pretty good tho.
I tried other services like www.ebuddy.com but that does not work well.

For some reason, this thing doesn't work for me. It tells me that someone is typing, but it doesn't show what they actually typed. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Am I doing something wrong?

thanks for the link, and by the way, there is a IM messenger that connects to msn and yahoo and stuff, its called apollo, if you have jail breaked your ipod, it should be on the donwload list

There is support for several protocols. Save the bookmark to your home screen on your Touch (Name it iChat for amusement).

I think that the best out of all of them is MobileChat. It works better than apollo because you will never receive the "unable to authenticate" message, it is better than the internet because it will show you on your iPods/iPhone's main screen that you are receiving messages by having a little number in the top right corner of the app. The downsides are that it if the user is offline, it doesn't even show their e-mail and sometimes it crashes and you have to log back on. there is one application available in market for free....
Just browse M.EBUDDY.COM from your safari browser & select your carrier such as Yahoo, Gtalk, Aol, Jabbar, Facebook ..
you can also use ctube. just search www.ctube.net and select your prefered carrier. i use it for msn and it works really well. the only problem is it isnt set up as the usual msn were you can see peoples dp and stuff. its just a range of tabs with email addresses. but, it still works
