3.500.000 Visitors since 2008 on iPod Touch Tricks

Well in less than 1 day we are going into new decade and New Year 2010. Therefore I wanted to share bit information on how well we did this year on iPod Touch Tricks Blog.

I must say that I am very proud to announce that we reached over 3.5 Million Visitors and almost 6.000.000 page views since 2008. Without you hard core and new iPod Touch fans we would of not made it.

Many of you that read iPod Touch Tips and Tricks blog are also new and that’s why I wanted to let you know how important is to us that you visit regularly basis or at least sign up with our RSS feeds (Left -Blue Button) via Email or RSS feeds reader such as Google Reader, NewsGator etc.

So basically what we are trying to let you know that for many of new visitors this blog is No.1 source because we offer all types of troubleshooting, tips and tricks that nobody else cares about not even Apple.

I mean lets say that I (Joe) personally get at least 10-30 emails per day with problems that people have with their iPod Touch. Thing is Apple does not care you are just their customer to me you are iPod Touch owner as I am and we have something in common! Finding best Applications, What are the Best iPod Touch Games, Troubleshooting Wi-Fi, Changing iPod Touch Design and bunch of other things we all do on daily basis as iPod Touch owners.

Anyway, I want you to let know that I wish you already Happy New Year 2010 and that I am glad you visited iPod Touch Tricks blog.

Does any of you still have iPod Touch Gen 1 8GB and bought it for $300? Well this year for $270 you could of get 32GB iPod Touch Gen 3 after Christmas Sale at many online stores like: Apple.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, MacMall.com and many more.

Yep that’s right this year iPod Touch really dominated the Christmas and I can tell you that is so true, because I notice almost twice more traffic on Dec 25th and Dec 26th than any other day in that week.

Flash Games and Apps for iPod Touch Coming from Adobe

Adobe is releasing new Flash version 10.x for iPhone and iPod Touch which will allow Dev. to build Games and Applications for iPhone and iPod Touch. Now that does not mean you can go and browse Flash websites with Safari unless webmasters redesign their content for iPod Touch or iPhone.

How is this different from Adobe Flash Player 10 coming to iPhone? Will iPhone users be able to view web content built with Flash technology in the iPhone browser?

The new support for iPhone applications in the Flash Platform tooling will not allow iPhone users to browse web content built with Flash technology on iPhone, but it may allow developers to repackage existing web content as applications for iPhone if they choose to do so.

Flash Player uses a just-in-time compiler and virtual machine within a browser plug-in to play back content on websites. Those technologies are not allowed on the iPhone at this time, so a Flash Player for iPhone is not being made available today.

Flash Professional CS5 will enable developers to build applications for iPhone that are installed as native applications. Users will be able to access the apps after downloading them from Apple’s App Store and installing them on iPhone or iPod touch

New iPod Touch But No Camera

iPod Nano got Camera but not iPod Touch! That was so weird when I first heard about it. Well the specs are bit better and prices are lower.

8GB - $199
32GB - $299
64GB - $399

Prices are still fair when you think I paid $299 for 8GB iPod Touch (Gen 1). Some bloggers (Gizmodo) still think that iPod Touch will come with Camera but I doubt that, because they would announce that at the Apple (Rock and Roll) Event.

Google Latitude for iPod Touch

Google mobile blog just released news that you can have Google Latitude on your iPod Touch. You can read more about it here

To try Google Latitude, type google.com/latitude into your iPhone's browser. And if you miss the experience of launching the app directly from your home screen, you can add a bookmark to the home screen by opening Latitude in Safari and tapping the + icon > Add to Home Screen > Add.

Quick iPod Touch WiFi Troubleshooting Tip

I found out that in most cases wifi is not working on iPod Touch due to DNS problems. To troubleshoot Wifi , go to Settings> Wifi> Go Into Network settings (Your Router) and click on static

I receive at least 5 emails from people getting wifi to work and in most cases changing DNS setting works.

Apple Releasing iPod Touch With Camera

True or False? Is next iPod Touch Gen going to have Camera (3mp) ? Many sources say yes and I think it's about time! Camera, I think on iPod Touch would be great now days, I mean since they develop apps for services like Twitter, why wouldn't you be able to upload picture of you being laying down on Telephone poole , right? (Facebook laying down)

What's your thought, do you think iPod Touch deserves to have Camera or you simply don't care?

Yep iPod Touch (OS) 3.0 firmware leaked today on torrent, so feel free to download it today and see beta style. Thing is that I would maybe not recommend all people to download this iPod Touch 3.0 firmware because it's beta and you know how beta stuff works right?

March 17th is the day when we will find out more about iPhone OS 3.0 but also Firmware 3.0 for iPod Touch. There is Rumor for iPod Touch Gen 3 Camera but as I said it's just a rumor.

What people expect to see on iPod Touch 3.0:

• Copy and Paste (I say there is no chance for that yet)
• Camera for iPod Touch Gen 3 (I can see that happen!)
• Better Battery Life (Yes that will happen as some sources reported)
• Boot Speed (Defiantly something Apple should improve)

I wonder if Wifi Phone iPod Trick works for iPod Touch

I stumbled upon cool blog post by Low End Mac explaining how to use iPod "Touch" as WiFi Phone (Voip). This iPod Touch voip, tutorial is really self explanatory. I think it's very clear on what you need to do and what tools you need to buy.
